The Great Lifestyle Sale

Salesmen are eavesdroppers. That we got to prove last week. Hahaha! My officemates and I were in Aldo last Thursday, checking out shoes and accessories, when I exclaimed how excited I was for the 'Big Dimensione Sale'. (That was how I termed it, mainly because that's where the sale's at).

"Kelan kaya yun! I'm so excited!"
"Sa Sunday po. Start na po." Aldo sales person joined the conversation, we almost jumped.

"Wow. This Sunday na. Thanks Kuya!" we said then left.
Then upon leaving the store, "Eavesdropper pala sila no?" Hahaha! Okay, that was not within earshot. :))

And true it was, it started last weekend. Saturday though--not Sunday. Mali si Kuya! :)) My officemates and I were very excited for this because we remember the loads of stuff we got to buy the previous year from this crazy sale. So today, we jumped from our office desks to the heavenly sale that was a building away.

--

Because they're renovating the building for American Eagle apparel, the entrance of this building sale is at the side. They made sure to fill the walls with The Great Lifestyle Sale posters so you won't miss it though. :)

I love these walls with arrows. Made me feel like I was in a maze on the way to the big sale. :)

And... WELCOME!

Isn't it quite a bit heavenly up there? ;) (Sorry blurred.)

Gaaah. Sorry for the blurred photos. I didn't know I was shaky.
They totally have better items this year so I was like OMG-ing every single second

Most of these Charles and Keith shoes were priced 599. I swear.
It's the like only numbers they knew were 5 and 9!!!

For shoes, there were Aldo, Charles and Keith and Pedro. Clothing lines were La Senza, Bench, Herbench, Kashieca, Mother Care, and other brands in the Bench family.

Now if you're a guy and you're wondering, Is there something for me? (I said that in my most manly tone.) I made a few shots of the shoes.

(Shaky hands are shaky. Sorry. Hahaha!)

Last thing you need to know is that they change (or add) stock every week or at least every two weeks. And even pull down prices after a week or two. That we noticed last year. So if you have a good Christmas bonus, don't spend it all on one visit. However, if you already found the good stuff, one at a really low price, and one that doesn't seem like it's still possible to go down (LIKE 599!!!), then go grab. :) Most especially if you have a crazy shoe size that's most certainly likely to get out of stock if you won't guard it with your life. :))

And with that, I had my moment of "Can I have size 6 of all theeeeeese? :) :))"

--

All in all, for lunch I had three pairs of shoes. And then one corset for dessert. ;)

The Great Lifestyle Sale is at the Dimensione/American Eagle building in Building 5 of Bonifacio High Street. The sale runs from December 8 to February 5, 2013. So no need to hurry. Sort of. :))

Spontaneous Sundates are the sweetest

As much as I love to plan and schedule the things I do, it is truly those spontaneous, spur-of-the-moment events that spice up life and make it all the more worthwhile. In a rare occurrence, I found myself with a free afternoon, on the last day of my sembreak no less. And, as always, my beloved and dependable best friend came to the rescue.

(Screenshot on Jel's phone. Mine's the white bubble, hers is the blue.)

Let me just say that there are so many perks to having a best friend who’s working like mad and is very generous with her time and money. So generous in fact that we ended up buying 5 sets of fish balls/squid balls/chicken balls, 1 bag of Marty’s Cracklin’, 2 bottles of Mountain Dew, and 2 glasses of taho. Parang lalaki lang kung kumain! Surprisingly (or should that be unsurprisingly?) we managed to finish them all (unless we count those 4 pieces of fish ball and my half-filled bottle of Mountain Dew that we gave away) as we had a mini-picnic on the Sunken Garden.

It was a refreshing change of scenery from our usual “high-end” dinners at the Fort, and to have the opportunity to sit around and merely be was priceless. We saw the sun set and the sky change colors, had a view of the stars as we lay on our backs, and even saw a firefly. In between we talked about life and love, God and ministry, studies and career, our plans and dreams. All these and still Jel had the time to paint my fingernails!

As we sat there, we couldn’t help but think how it’s really the simple and little things that make life worth living. We didn’t need much, didn’t even spend much, but those 3 hours were pure bliss – nothing but conversation and an appreciation of life and its beauty.

I couldn’t have thought of a better way to end my sembreak. This day was just amazing from beginning to end – from worshipping the Lord first thing in the morning to getting to spend time with one of the most important people in my life. Truly these moments are irreplaceable! No matter how busy med school gets, these are the moments I would not trade for anything.

So I tell you, live life! Seize the day! And make every moment count!

Cheers!

I can be body beautiful at any age with Wacoal.

People say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.
But I think beauty is how you define it - how you bring yourself.

Women of today should know their bests, their flaws and imperfections, what to highlight, what to show. And that to have their their own sense of style. And more than that, to know how to bring it.

I chose this pair of undergarment because I love wearing dresses with silk or thin fabric. I hate having VPL and so, this seamless underwear would work best in it. I also love wearing loose top with wide collar, that would require me to use a strapless bra. I like the one above because it brings a neat fit to a woman's body with it's soft shape.

We all grow and we all age. I think it's just important to know your body. Because beauty is not living with the world's standards, but about how you bring yourself, and how you stand high confident with what you have.

Be body beautiful at any age with Wacoal. :)

Deuxofakind: Stage Sister (Jel and Janelle Style)

Stage sister.
When apart from your stage mother, stage dad and stage sister, you have your best friend, supportively sitting on the front row taking photos or being the first one to hear what you have to say...

My first time to lead worship in Feast BGC

Janelle's dance concert in Ateneo Med School

October 13, 2012
Milestone. There's no other word for this. And this day will be as important as my half-birthday. This particular Saturday is when I was assigned to lead worship in Feast BGC. There are many things that I dreamed of becoming in my life. Leading worship is NOT one of them. Not that I don't want to, but I just never thought I could or that I was worthy of such task.

But like I said in my story before I started the worship, with the amount of sins that we have we may always think we're never worthy of anything. But God does not look at us that way. In His eyes, we'll always be worthy. We will always be chosen. Thus, my October 13, 2012. :)

Ren, Bebe, Jed and of course Janelle were all there. All in front center.

That's my support system right there! :)

Should you be curious of my line up, we had...

Opening Song: Promises by Desperation Band
Worship:
Reflection Song: Jesus be the center by Israel Houghton
Response Song: Your love never fails by Jesus Culture

Thanks for attending the service sister. Me loves you! :*

And of course, Ren and Jed too! :)

Will never forget this first time.

Spending all of my Saturdays with these people for the whole 2012, some random Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and them being the people who always believe in me, made me realize that they're absolutely more than just my community friends. They're my family. :)

Kirin dinner! <3

Family + Support System

You made this rollercoaster-y 2012 full by being present in my every milestone. Speechless sister, you make me. :)

And I thank you for blocking this particular Saturday. We may not always hang regularly, but I know you are guys I can always run to. :)

And though the schedule of med students is one that we would call "madugo", the students know that their load in their freshmen year is not madugo-enough. So I guess this is why Janelle grabbed this perfect chance to join the Ateneo Med Dance Group

Kung maka-project talaga! :) Hahaha! Lovette!! <3

Presenting... Batang Janelle.... *snap* Matandang Janelle.

Magic show talaga to. How Janelle can transform her looks by the use of certain clothing pieces. :)) HAHAHA

You totally remind me of Emma Watson in Perks of Being a Wallflower ;)

Super pretty projections! I super love it! <3

After her set, while at the backstage or viewing deck, Janelle texted me for post-performance comments. Hahahaha! Funny cos though her number seemed promiscuous, (Okay, omit seemed because it was promiscuous.) the next dance number was crazier. :)) Dance interpretation of sex. Oh was I so glad that my sister wasn't put in that dance number. Hahaha!

And the closing dance number with her red lipstick and red nails :)

Janelle with the Burlesque guys and girls

TOO MUCH LOVE <3
